About Alex started his career as a mixologist and had been working alongside some of New York City’s best bartenders since 2003. During that time, he was able to hone-in careful mixing skills, learn and create new techniques, and ultimately recipes that have become modern signature drinks. Over the years, Alex had been named the head bartender at the second Yerba Buena in the West Village and The Flatiron Room. The experiences of creating cocktail programs for restaurants, publishing recipes (Whiskey Distilled: A Populist Guide to the Water of Life, by Heather Greene), winning awards at national mixology competitions, and teaching mixology classes crafts Alex’s knowledge about all kinds of alcohols and establishes his lasting friendships with other fellow mixologists around the world who share the dedication to the art of cocktail.
